The pause on one-way Quarantine-Free Travel (QFT) from Victoria to New Zealand will continue until 7.59pm (NZT) Friday 4 June. This is due to Victoria going into a 7-day lockdown from 11:59pm (AEST) Thursday night.

The pause extension is based on the public health risk assessment to further protect New Zealanders. Anyone who has been in the state of Victoria after 7:59pm (NZT) on 25 May cannot travel to New Zealand from anywhere in Australia until further advised.

The New Zealand Director-General of Health is now requiring anyone in New Zealand, who has visited the Greater Melbourne area since 20 May, to isolate at their place of residence until they receive a negative COVID-19 test result.

In New Zealand, if you’re advised by a health professional, the COVID-19 test is free.

Travellers currently in Victoria should follow the instructions of Victorian authorities.
