The council waste contractors and volunteers are leading the final sweep of flood damaged waste collection on Wednesday 28 July.
The contractors will not pick up flood-damaged waste after Wednesday 28 July.
However, residents will still be able to drop their own flood waste off at the transfer station for free until the end of Sunday.
From next Monday, 2 August, it will be “business as usual” and charges will apply.
This gives people who may still not have had a chance to remove their flood-damaged waste to do so.
If you can’t get your flood-damaged waste to the Transfer Station, contact your insurance provider and check if they will cover the disposal fees. If you do not have insurance, please call 0800 768 348 for advice.
We ask that people respect this by only dropping off flood-damaged waste. Please keep up the community spirit and help others, especially if you have a trailer.
The Transfer Station is open Monday to Saturday 9am-4pm and Sunday 9am – 1pm.
